Event Description:
At a luncheon meeting on May 8 at 11 a.m. at the Heathrow Country Club, the Heathrow Women’s Club will present funds to local charities: The Boys & Girls Club of Central Florida, West Sanford Branch; Seminole County Friends of Abused Children; SafeHouse of Seminole Daycare/After School Program, and the New Directions Scholarship Program at Seminole State College. Over the past 24 years, the Club has donated more than $500,000 to charities in Seminole County that benefit women and children. The presentation of checks to our charities is the highlight of the year, made possible by our Club’s volunteerism and fundraising events held during the year.
