The Black Hammock is a unique attraction nestled in the heart of Florida and geared towards providing a “Real Florida” experience for all ages. Upon arrival you are greeted by "Hammy" the live 12’ alligator, his smaller alligator neighbors and other beautiful animals such as exotic Blue & Gold Macaws in our FREE wildlife exhibit.
Airboat rides are available throughout the day where you can journey around Bird Island and Lake Jesup - widely known for hosting the largest alligator population in Florida. Our USCG approved airboats piloted by experienced captains provides a thrilling yet safe adventure for all. Every ride is different as the natural scenery and wildlife changes with every season. Afterwards, you can enjoy dinner at our on-site restaurant or lounge at our Lazy Gator Bar – home of our famous Gator Bites! Ask us about private events and venue rental.
